LeBron James Says Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’ Is ‘Coming Soon’

CLB is OTW.

While fans anxiously await Certified Lover Boy, LeBron James is sharing an update. According to the Lakers champ, Drake’s long-delayed album is “coming soon.”

“CLB coming soon people!!” King James assured his 94 million Instagram followers. “My brother ain’t fn around!”

Drake reposted the Instagram Story with a series of face emojis including a laughing emoji. He also shared a photo of himself in the studio while on FaceTime with someone who appears to be Noah “40” Shebib. The CLB logo was drawn on a piece of paper in front of him with a “2021” date.

During an appearance on Sound 42’s “Fry Yiy Friday” on SiriusXM last month, Drake announced that his sixth studio album was finally finished, but he stopped short of revealing a release date.

“Album’s cooked. Looking forward to delivering it to you,” he told fans. “Certified Lover Boy on the way, and that’s for anyone in the way.”

Drake previously said that the follow-up to 2018’s Scorpion would arrive by the end of summer, which is Sept. 22.

“I’m back in the studio with 40 tough,” he said. “I’m just really excited about the music that we’re making and I feel like I’ve locked into a zone where I’m really trying to execute on a project that’s fulfilling for my soul.”

Lil Baby recently revealed that he was working on a new Drake song, which he described as having a “slow” tempo, but it’s unclear if it is for CLB.
