Lil Baby Reacts to BET Hip Hop Awards Loss

Lil Baby is not trippin’ over awards.

The Atlanta rapper has had a tremendous year. After topping the charts for six weeks with his album My Turn, Baby scored four nominations at this week’s BET Hip Hop Awards, but only took home one for Impact Track for “The Bigger Picture,” much to the dismay of his fans.

He lost in top categories including Hip Hop Artist of the Year (Megan Thee Stallion), Hip Hop Album of the Year (Roddy Ricch’s Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial), and Best Hip Hop Video (Future and Drake’s “Life Is Good”).

However, Baby is not sweating it. Taking to Instagram, he seemingly reacted to losing in three out of four categories. “I Like Getting Millions , Ain Trippin About Awards,” he captioned a photo of himself on set of City Girls’ “Flewed Out” video.

But his fans were less than pleased. “If @lilbaby4PF ain’t win album of the year that shit scripted,” tweeted one fan. Baby retweeted the comment before deleting it.

Lil Baby performed “We Paid” with 42 Dugg at Tuesday’s ceremony and was on hand to accept his win for Impact Track.

He wasn’t the only Baby who took an L. DaBaby, who was the most nominated artist at this year’s show with 12 nominations, also reacted to his loss. “ion think Baby trippin,” he commented. “@bet love Baby, congrats to the winners. #WellDeserved.”
