Nicki Minaj Pays Tribute to Murdered Business Manager

Nicki Minaj is mourning the death of her business manager.

Angela “Angie” Kukawski was reported missing on Dec. 22. The following day, police discovered the body of the 55-year-old celebrity manager inside the trunk of her car in Simi Valley, Calif. Her death has been ruled a homicide by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Kukawski, who was a mother to five children, worked at Boulevard Management in Woodland Hills, which specializes in accounting and financial management services for entertainers, athletes, and entrepreneurs, according to Variety.

Kukawski’s famous clients included Kanye West, Offset, the Kardashians, the estate of Tupac Shakur, and Nicki Minaj.

In a post on her Instagram Story, Minaj paid tribute to her late manager. “Hardest working, most reliable, sweetest person you could ever know. You didn’t deserve this, Angela. My heart is breaking for your children. Rest In Peace,” she wrote.

The Kardashian family described Kukawski as “truly the best” in a statement to E! News. “She cared about everyone of us and made things happen that were impossible,” the family said. “She will be greatly missed and we send our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones during this most difficult time.”

The Simi Valley Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department have arrested Kukawski’s 49-year-old boyfriend, Jason Barker, on suspicion of murder. Barker allegedly killed Kukawski inside their shared home in Sherman Oaks, placed her inside her car, and drove to Simi Valley.

Barker was booked into Van Nuys Jail and is being held on $3.07 million bond.
