Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Reportedly Refused Club Entry After Bouncers Didn’t Recognize Them

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky may be two of the most famous celebrities on the planet, but one club apparently didn’t recognize them.

The “Umbrella” singer donned a pink vintage Dior slipdress and a fuzzy pink bucket hat while stepping out with her boyfriend for a date night in New York City on Wednesday (June 23).

The two were swarmed by paparazzi and fans as they made their way to Barcade. Once they arrived, the club’s security seemingly stopped them from entering. Video footage shows RiRi and Rocky waiting at the door for several minutes while Rocky speaks with the bouncer as a patient Rihanna looks on. According to Pop Crave, the bouncers claimed they didn’t recognize the famous couple and needed to see ID.

Other patrons can be heard joking about the club’s policy. A woman off camera yells, “I don’t know who you are,” while a man mocks Rocky: “You don’t got none of your business cards on you, boy?”

But despite the brief hiccup, they were eventually escorted inside the arcade bar and had a blast. One patron said that the couple bought him shots and cheered him on while he played the Ninja Turtle video game, and Rocky complimented him on his outfit.

Rocky confirmed his relationship with Rihanna in a GQ cover story earlier this year, calling her the “love of my life.” “She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones,” he told the magazine. “I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”

Rocky also expressed his gratitude to Rihanna for all her support surrounding the release of his new documentary, Stockholm Syndrome.

“It’s amazing and I’m honestly truly blessed, for real,” he told “Entertainment Tonight” of his girlfriend, who makes a cameo in the documentary.
