Silk Sonic Performs ‘Leave the Door Open’ at Grammys
What you doin’? Where you at?
Silk Sonic made its big debut at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards. Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, who have a combined 14 Grammys, didn’t come to play no games, performing their new single “Leave the Door Open” for the first time at Sunday’s show. Dressed in burnt orange suits, they delivered a groovy performance straight out of the ’70s, complete with soulful crooning and retro dance moves.
Anderson also took home the award for Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Lockdown,” beating out fellow nominees DaBaby (“Rockstar”), Drake (“Laugh Now, Cry Later”), Roddy Ricch (“The Box”), and Travis Scott (“Highest in the Room”).
Expect even more throwback vibes from Silk Sonic. The duo is now readying its debut album An Evening with Silk Sonic for release later this year.
