Chilombo is here.
Jhené Aiko returns with her third studio album, which was derived from her full name, Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo.
In addition to the singles “Triggered (freestyle)” and “P*$$y Fairy (OTW),” the 20-track set includes appearances from Big Sean (“None of Your Concern”), H.E.R., John Legend, Ab-Soul, Ty Dolla $ign, and her father, Dr. Chill. Future and Miguel join the L.A. songstress on “Happiness Over Everything (H.O.E.),” while Nas guests on “10k Hours.”
The soulful and ethereal project, which follows 2017’s Trip, celebrates her strength, power, and confidence, and was conceived as freestyles that took place in Hawaii where Jhené’s great grandmother was born. She explores the practice of sound healing by incorporating crystal alchemy singing bowls on every track.

“There were moments I felt I couldn’t go any further, sang through sorrow and swollen vocal chords, but said fuck it and kept going anyway,” said Jhené of her recording sessions on the Big Island. “I am so proud of myself for getting it done by doing it my way.”
Jhené will hit the road in support of the album. Her “Magic Hour Tour” kicks off May 1 in Boston and travels across the U.S. and Canada with special guests Queen Naija and Ann Marie.
