Summer Walker Debuts ‘Body’ Video
More than a year after releasing her chart-topping album Over It, Summer Walker debuts the long-awaited video for “Body.”
Directed by Lacey Duke, the stunning and serene visual was shot in Calabasas and Malibu, and finds the R&B songstress soaking up the sun on a balcony and taking in the sunset on the beach while celebrating self-love and embracing her body.
“It’s different from what I’m used to doing,” Walker tells BAZAAR.
The beaming mom-to-be, who announced her pregnancy last fall, also gives a glimpse at her baby bump. “I think you should do what makes you feel good about your body,” she says. “I think I’ll be a great mom, I’m super excited.”
The London On Da Track-produced song, which samples 702’s “Get It Together,” is a standout off Over It. In honor of the one-year anniversary of her debut album in November, Walker released Over It (Complete Set) featuring the original 18 tracks, plus live performances, acapellas, and instrumentals.
More music may be on the way. Last month, she shared a photo of herself in the studio and hinted that she was working on a new album.
