Summer Walker Teases New Album

Summer Walker is in album mode.

The R&B singer is teasing what appears to be a new album. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (Dec. 16), a pregnant Summer shared a series of photos of herself in the studio wearing headphones and a hat that says “Diplomacy.” She captioned it “album” with the unamused face emoji.

Fans shared their excitement about a potential follow-up to Summer’s 2019 debut. “We need another album like ‘Over It..’ you put your heart in that sister,” said one IG user.

Last month, Walker celebrated the one-year anniversary of Over It with the Complete Set, a two-disc collection features the original 18 tracks, plus live performances, acapellas, and instrumentals. Earlier in the year, she dropped her five-track EP Life On Earth and covered “Santa Baby” for LVRN’s Home for the Holidays compilation.

Summer is also expanding her brand with the launch of her own label, Ghetto Earth Records. She recently signed her first artist NO1-NOAH, who can be heard on Life On Earth.

In addition to delivering new music, the 24-year-old songstress is expecting her first child with producer London On Da Track. She announced her pregnancy last month before calling out her on-again, off-again boyfriend for being an absent father.
