That Girl Lay Lay Teams Up with Young Dolph in ‘Breezy’ Video
That Girl Lay Lay has taken the world by storm with her viral rhymes that have earned millions of views across her social media channels and famous fans including North West, Ellen DeGeneres, and Dapper Dan.
Now the 14-year-old rap sensation, born Alaya High, is readying her new solo album Lil Big Dripper for release this spring. The Houston native, who began writing, producing, and rapping at the age of five, teams up with Young Dolph on her new single “Breezy,” premiering exclusively on Rap-Up. In the video, Lay Lay shows out with fiery flow and designer drip, while Dolph adds a G-rated verse.
“The ‘Breezy’ video shoot was one of my favorite moments this year! I finally met Dolph, who gave me the dopest feature and made the video so fire,” Lay Lay tells Rap-Up. “I couldn’t have asked for a better day of bonding and learning so much more about this business. I’m super grateful for his energy.”
In addition to Dolph, Lil Big Dripper is set to feature appearances from Houston legend Bun B as well as Lay Lay’s longtime collaborators Lil Blurry, Lil Terrio, King Harris, and Zaza.
At age 11, Lay Lay made history as the youngest female rapper to sign a deal via her own Fresh Rebel Muzik/EMPIRE imprint where she released her 2018 debut Tha Cheat Code. The budding mogul also has an overall production deal with Nickelodeon, which includes two full-length feature films and an original television series.
