That Mexican OT Teams With Curren$y and Le$ for “1982”

Classic cars and premium trees, That Mexican OT is an appreciator of the finer things. Teaming up with fellow Cannabis connoisseurs for a new stoner’s anthem, the Bay City, TX breakout shares “1982,” a new single and music video. Rhyming over Bankroll Got It’s laid-back trumpets and thumping percussion, OT touts his ’82 Benz as he switches up his flow and tears off tongue-twisting bars like only can.

OT welcomes guest appearances from the legendary Curren$y, who shares OT’s love for classic cars, and OT’s fellow South Texan Le$. In the video, directed by DGreen Filmz,  the bottom-of-the-map trio get faded in Spitta’s hometown of New Orleans, as they pour lean outside the Jetlife store and enjoy life to the fullest.

“1982” is That Mexican OT’s first new single since the release of Texas Technician, OT’s acclaimed March 2024 mixtape. That Mexican OT recently wrapped a nationwide 2024 tour, featuring support from fellow Houston rapper Maxo Kream and his close confidante and “Johnny Dang” collaborator DRODi. Kicking off in Louisville, Kentucky on June 12, the tour criss-crosses the country for 33 dates, with stops in New York on July 23, and festivals like Austin City Limits. Earlier this summer, OT headlined a show at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, and performed at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash, where he rendezvoused with Nardwuar for an interview. The tour also featured ten different dates in OT’s home state of Texas, stopping at underserved markets in the state for one of their biggest concerts of the year. The rapper will perform at several events later this year, including the West Texas Truck Show in Odessa and Austin City Limits FestivalTickets for That Mexican OT’s concerts are available at ThatMexicanOT.net

Stay tuned for much more from the Bay City, TX rhymer as he launches into the stratosphere.
