Tory Lanez Detained for Weed at Las Vegas Airport
Tory Lanez was busted for weed in Las Vegas over the weekend.
The “Say It” singer was stopped at the airport on Sunday morning after TSA allegedly found marijuana in his possession. While attempting to board a flight, a TSA agent discovered a “large” amount of weed in one of his bags, according to TMZ.
TSA temporarily detained him, but eventually let him go. Marijuana is legal in Nevada, but it’s still not legal federally and you can’t get on a plane with it. An investigation is ongoing, so it’s possible he could be cited, although it is unlikely.
Tory was able to turn his run-in with the law into a payday. After he seemingly missed his outgoing flight, he booked a gig at Drai’s on Sunday night, which he promoted on Instagram.
Last month, Tory was taken into custody after violating his protective order in the Megan Thee Stallion felony assault case. His bail was increased from $250,000 to $350,000. He has pleaded not guilty to assault and weapons charges and a trial is set to begin in September.
Meanwhile, Tory continues to release new music. On Friday, he debuted his remix to BIA and J. Cole’s “London,” the latest in his Fargo Fridays series.
