Travis Scott Shares Well Wishes for DMX
As DMX fights for his life, he continues to receive support from friends and fans including Travis Scott.
The “Franchise” rapper shared well wishes for the hip-hop icon, who remains hospitalized for a fourth day after suffering a drug overdose last week. TMZ caught Travis outside his office in L.A. on Monday (April 5), where he delivered a kind message.
“We love DMX, man. X for life!” he said before driving off in his Bugatti Chiron.
When asked his favorite DMX song, Travis cited X’s 1999 hit “What’s My Name.”
On Monday night, hundreds attended a prayer vigil for DMX outside White Plains Hospital in New York. The emotional event was attended by X’s family including his fiancée Desiree, kids, and ex-wife. Fans gathered in the streets and shared prayers while chanting his name and making Xs with their arms.
“The Love is real for my brother @dmx in these streets and around the world,” wrote Swizz Beatz. “Thanks for all of your prayers and support as we continue the fight. Blessings to everyone.”

X was rushed to the hospital on Friday after suffering a heart attack triggered by a reported drug overdose. He remains on life support in the ICU and his condition has not changed much since Saturday, with sources saying he is in a “vegetative state.”
The hospital has enforced a strict visiting policy because of COVID-19. X’s mother and his fiancée have visited him, while some of his kids have been allowed to see their father on a limited basis.
His family is holding onto hope for his recovery. On Saturday, they released a statement thanking his supporters. “Earl has been a warrior his entire life. This situation represents yet another road he must conquer,” read the statement. “The Simmons Family appreciates the overwhelming outpouring of heartfelt love, encouragement, support and prayers for Earl. Earl is someone whose life and music have been a source of inspiration and strength to so many people around the world. It is reassuring to see his fans return that same passion and energy to him during his time of need.”
