XXL Reveals 2021 Freshman Class

The 2021 Freshman Class is here.

XXL has unveiled its annual list of hip-hop’s rising stars. The 11 artists making up the “out-of-this-world” list include 42 Dugg, Flo Milli, Morray, Pooh Shiesty, Coi Leray, Lakeyah, Toosii, Blxst, Rubi Rose, and Iann Dior. DDG from Pontiac, Mich. earns the fan-voted Freshman 10th spot.

After much consideration and debate, 12 artists made the final cut, while one unnamed act pulled out the day before the shoot.

This year’s class joins an illustrious list of past Freshmen including Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Mac Miller, Lil Uzi Vert, Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, and Travis Scott.

Over the next month, XXL will be releasing its Freshman freestyles and cyphers, soundtracked by producer Nick Mira alongside some of the Internet Money team.
