YFN Lucci Says He Was Stabbed in Jail, Wants to Be Released
YFN Lucci wants to be released from jail because he is reportedly in fear for his life.
According to legal documents, obtained by TMZ, the rapper claims a fellow inmate at the Fulton County Jail stabbed him while he was taking a video call.
During the Feb. 9 incident, Lucci says he was stabbed from behind using a homemade shank. Since the alleged stabbing, Lucci believes there’s a bounty on his head among inmates and fears his life is in jeopardy if he remains in custody.
Lucci, who is awaiting trial in his murder case, is asking the judge to grant him bond so he can be released from jail. If released, he says he is willing to undergo 24-hour home confinement and wear a monitoring device.
The 31-year-old rapper remains in jail because prosecutors said he violated the conditions of his $500,000 bond by going to an Atlanta strip club and a recording studio.
Lucci, whose real name is Rayshawn Bennett, was arrested in connection with a December 2020 gang-related drive-by shooting that left one man dead and another man injured. He was charged with racketeering, violating the state’s anti-gang law, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
