Kim Kardashian Moves Kanye West Divorce Forward Despite Drake Co-Concert Song Dedications

Los Angeles, CA – While Kanye West continues to make efforts to win back his wife Kim Kardashian, the estranged wife is — at least legally — proceeding to take steps toward divorce. On Friday (December 10), the reality star filed to have a judge declare her legally single, according to TMZ.

If the filing is signed off by a California judge, Kim K. will be deemed legally single which really separates her marriage from potential child custody and property issues in her divorce from Kanye West. She’ll also be legally dropping West from her last name while Kanye West also legally changed his name to “Ye.”

The timing of the filing by Kim’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, is interesting, to say the least. Just hours prior, Kanye West poured his heart out on the Los Angeles Coliseum stage when he reworked his “Runaway” outro and put a twist on his lyrics in an effort to reconcile with his estranged wife.

“I need you to run right back to me, more specifically, Kimberly,” he rapped to the mother of his four children.

The emotional moment occurred during Kanye West’s Free Larry Hoover Benefit concert where he reunited on stage with Drake for the first time in five years.

Kim Kardashian reportedly filed for divorce from Kanye in March and she’s allegedly dating Saturday Night Live‘s Pete Davidson as the couple has been spotted on several dinner dates. West and Kardashian originally tied the knot in May of 2014.
