Juicy J Co-Signs 'Dawn FM': 'The Weeknd Music Will Heal Us'
As The Weeknd and his fans celebrate the surprise-drop of his new album Dawn FM, Juicy J took to Twitter to give the project an early co-sign.
“The Weeknd music will heal Us,” the 46-year-old rapper tweeted on Thursday (January 6).

Dawn FM features multiple voiceovers from actor Jim Carey in addition to appearances from 2021 HipHopDX Rapper of the Year Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Quincy Jones, and Oneohtrix Point Never. The “Take My Breath” singer said before the project’s release that he did this one for the fans and that he doesn’t even care about first week numbers.
“This doesn’t matter to me,” the singer wrote on Twitter. “What matters is getting to experience the album together with the fans during these times.”

The Weeknd also recently told Billboard that Dawn FM is heavily about the afterlife.
“Picture the album being like the listener is dead,” Abel said. “And they’re stuck in this purgatory state, which I always imagined would be like being stuck in traffic waiting to reach the light at the end of the tunnel.”
He continued, “And while you’re stuck in traffic, they got a radio station playing in the car, with a radio host guiding you to the light and helping you transition to the other side. So it could feel celebratory, could feel bleak, however, you want to make it feel, but that’s what The Dawn is for me.”
Juicy J recently dropped new music too. The Three 6 Mafia affiliate dropped “Pop That Trunk” with Wiz Khalifa in December, which is part of a larger joint collaborative effort the two rappers have planned for sometime in 2022.
