Yung Bleu Congratulates Jazmine Sullivan For BET Award After It's Sent To Him By Mistake
2021 HipHopDX Star Yung Bleu took to Instagram on Tuesday (February 8) to show his fans he had finally received his 2021 BET Award plaque in the mail. The only problem was he also received Jazmine Sullivan’s plaque.
“So I get to open the boxes from my awards, but BET y’all sent me Jazmine Sullivan awards too,” Bleu said in the video as he showcased the plaque belonging to the Heaux Tales singer for “Album of the Year.” “She probably waiting on her shit. Man, get this right. Jazmine hit me up, so I can send you your awards. Congratulations though, thank you BET.”
When the video was re-shared by The Shade Room a few hours later, Bleu slid into the comment section to confirm he was in contact with Sullivan’s manager.
“THIS WOULD HAVE JUST BEEN A TEXT IF I HAD HER NUMBER but I dn’t!” Bleu wrote. “Mistakes happen ! We human . Once again thank u soul train award for my award it’s an honor ! I got her Manager NUMBER NOW ! THANK YALL.”

During her acceptance speech for “Album Of The Year” last October, Sullivan spoke on how her Heux Tales project was created to be a message of self-love for Black women.
“I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t hide anymore,” she said. “Usually if I was feeling just not my best I would probably not have showed up, but I don’t wanna do that anymore. And I wrote this project for women to love themselves no matter what stage of life that they’re in.
“You have to love yourself, especially cause society would have us, and especially Black women, not love anything about ourselves. So I realized I can’t just talk about it I gotta be about it.”
