Kim Kardashian Asks to Be Declared Single, Says Kanye West Caused ‘Emotional Distress’
Kim Kardashian wants to be single again.
The beauty mogul has asked a judge to restore her legal status immediately in the wake of Kanye West’s Instagram posts.
In new court documents, obtained by TMZ, Kim says that Ye’s “constant attacks” on social media have taking a toll on her emotionally, and she wants to move on and co-parent in a healthy manner.
“I very much desire to be divorced,” says Kim. “Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress.”
Kim tells a judge that she has asked Kanye to keep their divorce private, “but he has not done so.”
Kanye accused Kim of kidnapping their daughter, Chicago, and has criticized her for allowing North to use TikTok. He also claims Kim accused him of “putting a hit out on her.”

Ye has tried to stop Kim from transferring assets out of any trust. However, she says they have a prenup which keeps all their trusts and other assets separate, and she needs access to her trust to run her businesses.
Ultimately, Kim says their seven-year marriage is beyond repair. “While I wish our marriage would have succeeded, I have come to the realization that there is no way to repair our marriage,” she says in the docs. “Kanye does not agree but at least it appears that he has come to the realization that I want to end our marriage, even if he does not.”
She wants to be single so she can move on. “I can begin the healing process and so that our family can begin the healing process and move forward in this new chapter in our lives,” she adds.
Kanye has made several attempts to win back his wife, including sending flowers to her for Valentine’s Day, while attacking Kim’s new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
Ye opens up about his divorce on his new album DONDA 2. “Never stand between a man and his kids / Y’all ain’t got enough security for this,” he raps on “Security.”
