Yo Gotti Unveils New CMG Signing Just Months After Mozzy Acquisition
Jacksonville, FL – Yo Gotti‘s Collective Music Group is one of the most star-studded labels in the game today. The company has an impressive roster of artists, including Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, EST Gee, the newly acquired Mozzy and more — but Gotti is still not finished strengthening the team.
On Wednesday (April 20), Yo Gotti announced the newest signee to CMG: Lil Poppa. The 22-year-old rapper hails from Jacksonville, Florida, and has been heating up his local scene which helped him land him on Gotti’s radar.
“It’s official @lilpoppa Welcome to The Team,” Gotti wrote on Instagram while posing next to his new recruit. “We Continuing to Build & Invest Back into Da Culture .. P.s #CMGRecords.”
Poppa replied in the comments section, “Don’t worry I got you from here.”

Wasting little time in kickstarting his CMG career, Lil Poppa released a brand new single on Thursday (April 21) featuring his new label boss. The Scotty Juh-produced “H Spot” finds Poppa showcasing his melodic, street-oriented sensibilities, while Yo Gotti brings the boss-level boasts.
Lil Poppa unleashed his latest project Blessed, I Guess in 2021, which featured appearances from Toosii and Seddy Hendrinx. He’s previously collaborated with the likes of Lil Durk, Polo G and Quando Rondo.
Gotti teased the signing earlier this week when he posted a picture of himself sitting in a car in Poppa’s hometown of Jacksonville.

According to a press release, Lil Poppa was recently named SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation’s “First Alert” artist. Yo Gotti said he aims to “provide a foundation to further elevate his promising, young career.”
The new signing comes just two months after Mozzy joined the crew at the label’s CMG 2022 Press Conference in Los Angeles. Yo Gotti made it clear during the event that he wanted to work with an artist from the West Coast.
“I always wanted to work with an artist from the West Coast,” he said. “After years of having big conversations, running into each other and sharing ideas, we come here tonight to let you know, we’re bringing our dawg Mozzy into CMG.”
