Wiz Khalifa Catches A Khalifa Kush Lawsuit
Wiz Khalifa is getting served a different kind of papers.
The Taylor Gang rapper along with NFL Hall of Famer and Good Morning America host Michael Strahan are being sued by one of the co-owners of their Khalifa Kush cannabis company after the co-owner alleged he was denied interest from the company’s proceeds.
Carlos Arias, director and managing agent for Cuzzi Consulting Inc., filed the suit, claiming he was left out of a cannabis licensing deal valued at no less than $20,000,000. In court filings according to The Blast, Arias alleges Wiz and Strahan “pilfered more than $100,000,000 in assets from Nominal Defendants.”
The claim also includes a “breach of fiduciary duty, aiding and abetting fiduciary breaches, conversion, corporate waste, tortious breach of an express or implied agreement, unjust enrichment, money had and received, professional negligence, civil conspiracy, and declaratory judgment arising out of Defendants’ wrongful conduct concerning the usurpation and misappropriation of assets from Nominal Defendants KKE USA and the Khalifa Kush Joint Venture.”

Khalifa Kush rose in prominence in 2014 after Wiz dropped the single “KK” with Project Pat and Juicy J. The growth prompted a partnership with Cookie Co. 415 and the release of the “Khalifa Kush” strain. Arias alleges in his lawsuit Wiz made almost nothing from the deal, even as he introduced Wiz to growing his name in the cannabis industry. Arias also states Wiz and company “misappropriated assets” and moved the proceeds to “themselves and a certain third party” which includes Strahan and SMAC Entertainment. Included in the misappropriated funds? A licensing deal upwards of $20,000,000.
Wiz’s love of weed is well documented but he’s also made it clear where he stands in the battle between rolling papers and backwoods. On his Instagram stories last week (November 13), Wiz didn’t hesitate to reiterate tobacco is what kills you in the long run.
“Stop smokin blunts,” Wiz said. “No blunts in my session or in the room with me. If you smoke blunts, you like tobacco and no weed and we’re not the same.”
