Drake & Drakeo The Ruler Collaboration Leaks Following Taunting Spree

Drakeo The Ruler was released from prison in November 2020 following a “sudden” plea deal and almost instantly teased a collaboration with Toronto superstar Drake.

“WHEN THE N-GGA YOU HATE GET OUT OF JAIL AFTER A MONTH AND GET @Drake FEATURE,” he tweeted in December 2020. “YEAH #THETRUTHHURTS COMING SOON.”

Turns out fans won’t have to wait any longer to hear the collaboration. On Wednesday (February 10), the full song — tentatively titled “Talk To Me” — surfaced online and was quickly posted to YouTube.

Kicking off the track, Drake sings in the chorus, “I don’t know if what we have is love, but it’s on my mind/We might slide on a n-gga inside this club girl, close your eyes/Fifteen brothers, no friends when I pull up, for peace of mind/Lights come on, I’ma need you to come find me, don’t be so shy.”

Drakeo comes in with, “Don’t be shy, I got killers on me, stupid/How much are sticks? I ain’t worried bout no boobies/I know you want me ’cause your BD is a goofy/Boss you up, your lifestyle could be exclusive/But I don’t know, ’cause you be hangin’ ’round with losers/internet trolls and n-ggas tryna do me.”

Drakeo is expected to drop The Truth Hurts mixtape sometime this year. He spoke about the impending project and coveted Drake feature in an interview with No Jumper’s Mad Lately show last month.

“Shit, they been told me he was trying to do some shit,” Drakeo said. “When I was in jail though he wanted me to do some shit but I had got my privileges taken and I couldn’t do it. Then I got out and I had looked in my DM and I was like, ‘Oh shit,’ and he was like, ‘Yea I’m finna send you some shit.’ He was like, ‘I did a hook for you, send your number.’”
