BREAKING: Carlee Russell Says No Abduction Took Place

Carlee Russell admitted she lied.

Police in Hoover, Alabama held a second press conference today (July 24) and her attorney, Emory Anthony, released a statement on her behalf. During the press conference, a police chief read it and Carlee reveals there was never a baby.

“My client has given me permission to make the following statement on her behalf. There was no kidnapping on Thursday, July 13, 2023. My client did not see a baby on the side of the road. My client did not leave the Hoover area when she was identified as a missing person.” He went on to say that Carlee didn’t have help in her wicked scheme and said it was a “single act done by herself.”

Last week, multiple rumors were floating around about her disappearance. For example, that she was fired from her job, and during her 49-hour disappearance she went to a hotel. Carlee was fired from her job, however, during the press conference, in her statement, she said she didn’t go to a hotel.

In addition, Carlee apologized to her community, the volunteers that searched for her, the Hoover police department, and other agencies, in addition to her friends and family. Carlee requested prayers and revealed she will “address her issues.” She understands her mistake and asks for forgiveness.

The chief revealed there will be another meeting tomorrow (July 25) to discuss if Carlee will face criminal consequences. The District Attorney will make the final decision. Carlee is not in police custody.
