Chief Keef Throws His Support Behind DeMar DeRozan In NBA MVP Race
DeMar DeRozan is enjoying an All-Star campaign in his first season with the Chicago Bulls, but some want him to receive more MVP buzz. Chief Keef threw his support behind DeRozan for the MVP award by giving him his stamp of approval on Wednesday (January 12).
“…on #4NEM,” he wrote in response to Bleacher Report‘s video clamoring for DeMar’s MVP consideration, which included a DeRozan-themed edit of the militant cover art of Chief Keef’s latest project, 4NEM.

DeMar DeRozan is averaging 26 points-per-game with about five rebounds and five assists per night, all the while leading the Chicago Bulls to the best record in the Eastern Conference at 27-12.
Some wind was taken out of the Bulls’ sails, though, when they were throttled by the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 138 to 112 on Wednesday night. DeRozan finished the contest with 19 points in 32 minutes.
DeRozan has gained support from much of the Hip Hop community with his performances this season. 2 Chainz caught up with the Compton native after one game and got DeRozan’s game-worn sneakers, whileFreddie Gibbs received the former Toronto Raptor’s game-worn jersey following a game in November.
As for Chief Keef, the Glo Gang leader released his 4NEM project on December 17, with features from Tadoe and Ballout. Stream the album below.
