Eminem Sets Spotify Record For Highest Streamed Discography
Eminem has continued to shatter records over two decades into the rap game. On Friday (December 31), Slim Shady broke his own record of having the highest streamed discography on Spotify, with 11 of his solo records each accumulating over one billion streams on the streaming platform.
While Eminem’s 1996 debut Infinite wasn’t included in this list because it’s not available to stream, the albums included stretched back to 1999 with The Slim Shady LP. The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, Encore, Relapse, Recovery, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Revival, Kamikaze and his most recent album, Music To Be Murdered By, also all raked in one billion streams.
The groundbreaking Spotify record, which was originally reported by Chart Data, was retweeted by Em’s manager Paul Rosenberg, who simply wrote “Congrats @Eminem!” The diamond-selling rapper accounted for over 21 billion streams on Spotify in total.

Curtain Call, which was merely a greatest hits compilation, was also listened to one billion times. Sixteen years after its release, it was deemed one of the best-selling albums of 2021. As reported by HITS Daily Double, the project sold over 673,000 units in the last 12 months, making it the 49th highest-selling album of this year.
Curtain Call debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after selling roughly 441,000 copies in just two days as part of a short opening sales week. The album reached platinum status in a mere three weeks and has since been certified 7x-platinum. The compilation included many of Eminem’s biggest hits such as “Lose Yourself,” “My Name Is” and “The Real Slim Shady.”
