Fivio Foreign Teaches Class At Fashion Institute Of Technology

Fivio Foreign decided to take a break from promoting his debut album to teach some kids.

The Brooklyn drill icon stopped by New York’s own Fashion Institute of Technology on Monday (April 25) to teach a college class. While it’s unclear what subject Fivio taught, the rapper also educated his class on the viral dance to his latest single “What’s My Name?” which they then performed together. The 32-year-old also received an honorary degree from the institute, along with a booklet signed by everyone in the class.

“S/O 2 the students at The Fashion Institute in Manhattan,” Fiv wrote on Instagram. “We bodied dis. What college should I pull up to next.”

Aside from shaping young minds, Fivio Foreign has mostly been celebrating the release of his debut record B.I.B.L.E, which debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart following its release via Columbia Records on April 8.

The project sold roughly 29,000 total album-equivalent units in its first week and features appearances from Kanye West, Quavo, A$AP Rocky, Alicia Keys, Lil Yachty, DJ Khaled, Polo G, Lil Tjay, Ne-Yo, Yung Bleu, Vory and Blueface. The new album marked Fivio Foreign’s first top 10 effort and second project to chart following his 800 BC mixtape which peaked at No. 159 in 2020.

The Brooklyn rapper took to Twitter on Sunday (April 17) to celebrate this momentous occasion.

“My Debut Album is #9 onna Billboards That’s in the whole world,” he wrote. “From where I came from that’s a Win.”

He continued his celebratory tirade by snapping back at 6ix9ine, who had previously clowned the “City of Gods” rapper for low album sales.

“And this is why I don’t respond to these lame ass weirdo clout chase’n n-ggas,” Fivio wrote. “You could buy youtube views but you cant buy chart positions. Everything this kid has ever said has been lie and everything else is gon be a lie. I apologize to the real 1’s out there thats mad I’m entertaining this shit but fans must kno. What’s really goin on in NY.”
