Kanye West Investigated For Allegedly 'Punching Fan' In Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA – Kanye West is under investigation for an alleged battery that took place in Downtown Los Angeles early Thursday (January 13), according to TMZ.
Law enforcement sources relayed that Kanye was in some sort of argument that led to an altercation where West allegedly shoved an individual around 3 a.m. PT near popular late-night spot Soho Warehouse.
According to FOX11, a fan approached Kanye in his SUV and their conversation turned physical to the point West allegedly punched the autograph-seeker.
The case is being investigated by the LAPD as a misdemeanor battery which would carry a maximum of six months behind bars but it likely won’t get to that point.
Kanye West’s legal history includes a pair of arrests stemming from altercations with paparazzi photographers at Los Angeles International Airport in 2008 and 2013.
TMZ also got their hands on a video clip of an enraged Kanye in a parking lot talking to a pair of women. It’s not known exactly at what point in the night the footage was taken.
“Did y’all say that or not,” he can be heard asking. “Did y’all say that or not? Cuz that’s what happened right fucking now!”
Earlier in the night, Kanye West was spotted hanging at Delilah with rumored girlfriend Julia Fox and the two shared a kiss outside the club.
