Killer Mike Reacts To President Biden Pardoning Thousands Of Marijuana Arrests

Killer Mike has given his stamp of approval to President Biden’s plan to reform and decriminalize marijuana in the United States.

On Thursday (October 6), President Biden announced he would be pardoning all Americans locked up on federal charges of simple marijuana possession and he called on state officials to follow his lead and do the same.

“Good,” the Run The Jewels rapper wrote in response to Biden’s call to action, “Better!”

Killer Mike really appreciated the third step of Biden’s plan which would look to reclassify marijuana as a federal drug and remove it from the same class as heroin and make it less punishable than Fentanyl.

“Best!!!!! Reschedule,” Killer Mike continued. “Legalize. Allow the folks u are freeing into the business and ownership in the legal space. We will support u on this Mr President.”

President Biden added in a statement: “As I often said during my campaign for President, no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana.  Sending people to prison for possessing marijuana has upended too many lives and incarcerated people for conduct that many states no longer prohibit.”

Killer Mike has long been an advocate for legalizing marijuana in America. He released a docuseries titled Tumbleweeds with Killer Mike where he went in depth on the impact and evolution of the cannabis industry.

“I am pro-you make your own decisions about what you’re putting in your body from day one,” he said.

Mike has spoken out on other issues around his city of Atlanta as he recently bashed a “nuisance” ordinance proposed by District 9 Council member Dustin Hillis that would shut down any establishment after two reports of violence or crime.

“We’ve honored three people today from Adamsville, who grew local businesses or influenced that, and this ordinance will wipe out the opportunity to do that,” he stated. “This is one of the only cities where entertainers and athletes have gone on to form a business class.”
