Lizzo Sued By Former Dancers Over Alleged Sexual, Religious + Racial Harassment

Former dancers for Lizzo filed a lawsuit and made serious accusations against the star.

According to reports, three ex-dancers are suing the “Rumors” singer. They claim to have been sexually, racially, and religiously harassed by the singer and her team while they worked with her.

The lawsuit was filed in California Supreme Court and the women, named, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez say the work environment was hostile. One of the women in the suit claims Lizzo brought up her weight gain, as reported on a court document obtained by XXL. The woman also alleged she was later “berated,” then fired, “after she recorded a meeting because she had an eye condition.” The suit says:

“Lizzo became furious, hurling expletives at the group, and stated that she was going to go around the room, person-by-person until someone told Lizzo who made the recording.”

Shirlene Quigley, the captain of Lizzo’s dance team, is accused of trying to convert the dancers to her religion. It is not clear which one, but the document says she allegedly chastised the dancers for having sex before marriage. The report also says Quigley is accused of “unwarrantedly discussing masturbation and sexual fantasies with the group. One of the plaintiffs also claims she was coerced into touching a woman’s breast at a strip club despite opposing the act.”

The three plaintiffs are seeking an unspecified amount of punitive damages, medical expenses, and attorneys’ fees as well as benefits for violations of their civil rights through the Fair Employment and Housing Act.

Lizzo or her team hasn’t spoken out as of yet. Fans flooded her recent IG posts. One user said, “Out of every celebrity, you’re the last person I’d expect for a sexual harassment scandal.” Another person said, “Not believing anything until it comes out from her. Sorry this is happening to you Lizzo. Stay strong praying for you.”
