Ludacris Rewards Himself For College Graduation By Buying A Private Jet

Most students receive a nice gift rewarding their hard work for graduating college, but Ludacris took that to another level. Luda copped himself a brand new private jet on Wednesday (May 11) after receiving an honorary degree from Georgia State University in his hometown of Atlanta.

“Bought Myself A Little Graduation Gift #familyupgrade #motivation,” he captioned the Instagram clip giving viewers a tour of the state-of-the-art private plane.

Ludacris is no stranger to the private jet industry, as he previously owned a much smaller plane and even flew it around himself after getting his pilot’s license.

A ton of the “Get Back” rapper’s celebrity friends hopped into the comment section and showered him with praise for his latest purchase. Fat Joe, Jermaine Dupri, Swizz Beatz, Dwyane Wade, Tyrese, Juicy J, The Rock, DJ Envy, and more showed love.

“Yoooooooooooo you a certified BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fire king fire,” Luda’s Fast & Furious co-star Tyrese wrote. “You KNOW it’s one of my dreams to have my own plane and this is now plane #2 for you……. Yeah it’s true my friends are superheroes…….. Congratulations!!!!!!!! Damn CB!!!! You killed on this!!!!!!”

Luda proudly walked across the Center Parc Credit Union Stadium stage to receive his honorary degree earlier this month and even made a speech on what he described as one of the happiest days of his life.

“I owe Georgia State University a great debt because you helped me to arrive at my why,” he said. “Our alma mater was founded on the principles to help you find those answers. So with its rich history of excellence and inclusion, it plays an even more important role.”

According to a 2014 report from Business Insider, Ludacris already owned a Hawker 700 plane, which is worth about $20 million, but has significantly upgraded so his entire family and friends and now ride in style.
