NBA YoungBoy Admits He Has 'Ran Out Of Rhymes'

NBA YoungBoy has run out of things to rap about, at least according to the Baton Rouge rhymer himself.

YoungBoy has given his fans plenty of new music since beating a federal gun case in Los Angeles earlier this year. He dropped off Colors in January, Better than You with DaBaby in March, The Last Slimeto in August, Realer 2 in September, 3800 Degrees at the beginning of October, and most recently Ma’ I Got a Family, which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 with 37,000 album-equivalent units. However, the Top rapper has said he’s officially burnt out.

In a screen-shotted YouTube comment circling online, one of NBA YoungBoy’s fans asked the 23-year-old to drop a new track, to which he replied and said it physically wasn’t possible.

“Would you care if I said not till next year?” YoungBoy asked. “Quando dropping the tape with me and him but I ran out of rhymes help me??”

Quando Rondo just dropped the first single off that aforementioned collab tape in September titled “Give Me a Sign,” and if Rondo is able to drop the album before the year’s out, it would serve as NBA YoungBoy’s seventh project of 2022. While that’s an impressive output, it falls short of YoungBoy’s original goal of dropping 10 releases in 2022.

“Fun challenge ’10 tapes 1 year ??’” read a screenshot of an iPhone Note, which YoungBoy captioned: “I’m finna be on 6 you think I can do it ?”

The achievement would have placed his output above mixtape legends like Lil Wayne, Curren$y and Gucci Mane, but while it may not come to fruition, the rapper has plenty of reasons to celebrate, including that he now has more Billboard 200 entries than JAY-Z.

While Hov still has far more No. 1 records, YoungBoy’s most recent album brings his grand total on the chart up to 25, surpassing Hov, who has 24.

YoungBoy may not hit his studio goals, he is still reportedly planning a massive 30-city tour in support of his new works, and Quando Rondo is reportedly coming along for the ride.
