Pooh Shiesty Shares Cryptic Instagram Post Amid Trial Delay

A cryptic Instagram Story posted by rapper Pooh Shiesty, whose legal name is Lontrell Williams Jr., has drawn significant attention as he awaits trial in a federal kidnapping and robbery case. Prosecutors allege the incident involved an associate of fellow rapper Gucci Mane.

On May 31, Williams shared a brief message on Instagram that read, “1,2,3 not it.”

The post offered no additional context, leaving its meaning open to interpretation as his legal team continues to prepare for trial in a complex multi-defendant prosecution pending in the Northern District of Texas. The phrase “not it” is often used in childhood games to avoid selection for an undesirable task, though in modern vernacular, it can imply a denial of involvement or a refusal to accept blame.

Legal Developments and Case Complexity

The social media post surfaced shortly after Williams’ defense team filed an unopposed motion to classify the case as complex. Attorneys Dan Cogdell, John M. Helms, and Kent Schaffer informed the court that the defense has received over 96 gigabytes of discovery, including approximately 14,000 pages of documents, alongside extensive audio and video evidence from multiple law enforcement agencies. Both the prosecution and the defense have agreed that additional time is required to process this volume of evidence, leading to a request for a revised scheduling order.

Gucci Mane previously released the track “Crash Dummy” following the denial of bond for Pooh Shiesty in April, in which he appeared to recreate the alleged encounter at a Dallas recording studio. Despite the public interest and speculation surrounding the case, Williams has provided no further explanation for his recent post, and Gucci Mane has remained silent regarding the latest developments.

Prior to his arrest, Pooh Shiesty was actively preparing for the release of his upcoming album, Shiesty Summer ’26.
