Tory Lanez Sentencing Delayed Once Again, Gets New Date In August

Tory Lanez’s sentencing was delayed once again.

The Canadian rapper was supposed to learn his fate after he was convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion, but his legal team delayed the process. As reported on Forbes, Tory’s lawyers have until August 1 to submit a sentencing recommendation.

Prosecutors want Tory to stay in the slammer for 13 years. He’s facing a little over 22. He’ll be sentenced on August 7.

The sentencing has been met with multiple delays. Last week, Tory and his team were on a mission to disqualify the judge, claiming they showed favoritism toward the prosecution, but that motion was shot down. A few months back, Tory claimed he didn’t receive a fair trial, and pushed for a new one. That motion was also denied.

Tory was found guilty last year on three counts. He was immediately taken to jail after the ruling last December and remains behind bars.
