evilgiane, the prolific Surf Gang producer, has just shared his new single “BASIC” featuring Anycia & Robb Bank$. The new release caps off a career-defining year for evilgiane, producing two of the biggest Hip-Hop songs of the year – ”The Hillbillies” by Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem nominated for “Best Rap Performance“ at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards as well as “Making the Band (Danity Kane)” by Earl Sweatshirt with both records making appearances in the Top 20 of Pitchfork’s ‘Best Songs of 2023’ feature. Both are clear-cut examples of evilgiane’s growing influence on the modern Hip-Hop soundscape, and his experimental production style that consistently forces some of the game’s most popular artists to step outside of their comfort zone.
