Yung Joc Arrested On Child Abandonment Charges
Gwinnett County, GA – Atlanta rapper Yung Joc spent just one hour behind bars on May 5 after he was accused of abandoning his child.
According to jail records obtained by The Shade Room, the “It’s Goin’ Down” rapper was booked into Gwinnett County Jail at 2:58 a.m. and charged with abandoning a dependent child.
The Love & Hip Hop cast member was freed at 3:40 a.m. after posting a $1,300 bond. The Shade Room reached out to the 41-year-old rhymer for comment, but Yung Joc instead used the opportunity to plug his upcoming comedy tour.
“Yeah my new comedy tour is about to launch,” Joc replied. “The Help Me Feed My Kids Tour.” TSR asked if he was doing comedy now, to which Joc replied he’s “been doing comedy.”

The Source additionally obtained reports suggesting Yung Joc’s arrest was potentially due to one of his children’s mothers petitioning him for child support, although that is not confirmed.
The 41-year-old has six children and tied the knot with fellow Love & Hip Hop star Kendra Robinson in November 2021. During a sitdown alongside her husband with BET in April, Robinson said their relationship was full of love.
“We’ve been having a lot of fun, and we’ve both been trying to love each other harder and longer because tomorrow isn’t promised,” Robinson said. “We reflected on the long journey and the road we’ve been down to where we are. We did premarital counseling, and we’re currently in postmarital counseling with our pastor, who recommended both for us.”
As for children, Robinson — who happens to be a defense attorney — said the couple have no plans to add another baby to the mix just yet.
“Not anytime soon so not this year, the next year, or the year after,” she said. “But if I were to have a child, it would be when I’m around 38 years old — knocking on 39. It’s not on my radar as of right now.”
