U.K. Grime Rapper Hypo Stabbed To Death During Queen's Jubilee Celebration
London, U.K. – The United Kingdom is celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this weekend. To mark Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th year on the throne, an array of events are taking place in London, including a parade, flypast and star-studded party at Buckingham Palace.
Neighborhoods across the capital are also hosting over 3,000 street parties and readying feasts of coronation chicken sandwiches and trifles. But violence broke out during one particular party in the East London area of Redbridge on Saturday (June 4) when U.K. rapper Hypo was reportedly stabbed to death surround by “a large number of people.”

According to the BBC, emergency responders attempted to save his life at the scene, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Scotland Yard is currently investigating the murder and asking for witnesses.
“I would urge anyone who is yet to speak with us to come forward and let us know what you saw,” Det Ch Insp Laurence Smith said. “Please take a look and call us. It is vital that we establish what happened.”
Hypo — real name Lamar Jackson — is the ex-boyfriend of Scot Brit winner/singer Emeli Sande. The couple dated for roughly one year after Sande divorced Adam Gouraguine. He was reportedly the first man Sande fell for since her divorce.
“They got together after meeting through friends and had some amazing times,” a source told The Sun. “But long-term relationships are so hard to get right in the music industry. Toward the end of last year they both decided to call it a day and keep their friendship strictly professional. It’s sad but the best way forward.”
