42 Dugg Faces Five More Years In Prison After Pleading Guilty In Gun Case

42 Dugg is facing an additional five years in prison after pleading guilty for failure to turn himself in for a six-month prison sentence for illegal possession of a firearm.
According to the Detroit News, 42 Dugg will also have to pay up faces up a $250,000 fine. He will be sentenced on May 10. The Detroit rapper has been in custody at the U.S. Penitentiary Atlanta since his arrest in May 2022.
This case originated from the Detroit native’s previous conviction of carjacking charges and felony firearms possession in 2017. In November of 2019, while on probation from this gun case, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives received an anonymous tip that 42 Dugg had violated the probation by firing a gun in a shooting range in Atlanta. 42 Dugg was arrested for the violation in March 2020 and sentenced to three years probation with a reported $90,000 fine for illegal possession of a firearm. Five months later, the “Maybach” rapper was arrested for evading Detroit police and avoided serious jail time again.
