Bow Wow Is Finally Working On Retirement Album After Snoop Dogg Lit The Fire Under Him
News of Bow Wow’s retirement has been circulating for years, and he’s never really been able to commit to bowing out entirely. But it looks like there’s some clarity throughout all the uncertainty revolving around Bow Wow’s retirement.
On Thursday (January 11), Bow Wow took to his Twitter with an announcement for fans wondering about the status of his last album, tentatively titled Before 30. According to Bow Weezy, Snoop Dogg is pushing him to finish it.
“Snoop told me no way you can retire before me,” Bow Wow tweeted with a picture of himself sitting in front of a microphone. “You owe us one more. Speak on all the real shit that we wanna know you been going through. Put it song and watch it flourish. – nuff said unc! #lastone.”

Snoop’s words come at an interesting time, as Bow Wow revealed in January during an interview with Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning that the West Coast legend would be narrating Before 30.
“I’m a do one more album. It’s gonna be the last one and it’s gonna be called Before 30, and I’m a have Snoop narrate the whole thing,” Bow Wow said. “So it’s gonna be kind of a different project, 10 songs.”
Bow Wow also explained that the album’s title reflects “Everything I’ve accomplished, I’ve seen it before 30,” and he plans to join forces once again with Chris Brown. Hopefully, Bow Wow can stay committed to this album on this go-around.
The 34-year-old has been flirting with retirement since 2016 when he tweeted some information regarding his exit from the music industry.
“I always said years ago I’d retire from music before 30,” he tweeted. “I just can’t see myself at 30 years old rapping.”
