LeBron James Teases ‘CLB Coming Soon’ While Drake Hits The Studio

Drake’s Certified Lover Boy remains without a release date as the days in August continue to countdown. The 6 God possibly sent some of his CLB heat over to LeBron James, who took to his Instagram Story early Tuesday (August 10) to continue to hype the project and promise its imminent arrival.

CLB coming soon people!! My brother ain’t F’n around @champagnepapi,” James wrote to his Instagram Story with Drizzy’s “4PM in Calabasas” ringing off in the background.

Drake then reposted the Lakers superstar Story and then uploaded a couple of his own. The first finds Drake cruising the streets with the top down in the back of a convertible.

The second places Drizzy back in the studio with OVO 40 virtually on the other side of his laptop as they labor over Certified Lover Boy‘s final tweaks. The photo features a pink CLB logo illustration on the cover of a paper with 2021 inscribed toward the bottom in baby blue ink.

To close out July, Drake hopped on Sound 42’s Fri Yiy Friday radio show to confirm CLB was completely finished.

“Album’s cooked,” Drake said. “Looking forward to delivering it to you. I hope everybody in the world is blessed. I hope everybody has their drinks, everyone’s locked in. Good vibes and good energy for this weekend.

“And for the rest of you heathens, I wanna tell you, ’cause I know you’re listening, don’t trouble people’s kids, don’t bother people’s soul. OVO, we aim for that head. We don’t aim to please. Certified Lover Boy on the way. And that’s for anyone in the way.”

Drake and Kanye West are seemingly playing a game of chicken waiting on one another to announce their respective release dates to their albums. Drake backed OVO Chubbs in an Instagram comment section when Kanye affiliate Don C dissed an upcoming sneaker designed by Drizzy.
