Offset Explains Why It’s ‘Getting Harder & Harder’ To Give Cardi B Gifts

Offset has revealed he’s finding it difficult these days to get presents for his wife Cardi B.

The married couple have developed a hobby of gifting each other lavish gifts. Last October, Offset gave Cardi B a mansion in her family’s native home of the Dominican Republic for her 29th birthday. Cardi then returned the favor in December, announcing at her husband’s 30th birthday party that she was gifting him $2 million.

With Cardi’s 30th birthday right around the corner, Offset told E! News that it’s become difficult figuring out what to buy the “WAP” rapper.

“These are the hard times,” he joked to E! News. “First off, she has everything. Second off, she doesn’t want anything. Third off, I’m gonna get her something because she deserves it. It’s getting harder and harder.”

He continued: “I’m trying to move her towards gifts — that’s why I bought her a home last year because they mean more or last more and it’s a great investment. Made a lot of money from the houses we’ve got now, and it’s like, I’m trying to stay at that angle. But it’s hard. Like for Christmas, we buy the kids and family stuff — we don’t always get on each other.”

There is one particular gift Cardi has had her eye on. The Migos rapper’s wife posted a motivational photo on her Twitter page back in August of a home that is slightly out of her price range.

“Took a picture in this house I want to buy,” Cardi wrote alongside the picture. “To remind myself to go harder, watch me get it.”

Offset replied: “Damn you really want this house, don’t worry we gone get it !!”

Aside from birthday troubles, Offset has been teasing new solo music ever since news of his break-up from Migos surfaced.

When fans asked for details about the new work on Twitter, Offset gave a few details, including that the project will be 13 songs with the longest song clocking in at 2:40.

“Fun excitement realness,” Offset replied to one fan who asked what the vibe of his upcoming album would be. Another person asked if Southside and Metro Boomin’ are behind the album’s production, which Offset also confirmed, and Offset even teased that the project’s big single would feature Moneybagg Yo, and that it would drop later in August.

That single ended up being “CODE,” which got the visual treatment a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Funk Flex has shared Cardi B’s unreleased verse from her latest single, “Hot Shit,” featuring Kanye West and Lil Durk.

The New York DJ dropped the verse during his popular Hot 97 radio show on Thursday night (September 15), and it hears Cardi flexing her toughness all over the record.

Mommy mode or model mode, I got the money/ Shooters know it ain’t no app if I say tag ‘em for me/ I get real hilarious when hoes be acting funny/ Fresh out the runway with that muthafucking garment,” Cardi raps to start the verse.

The Bronx native continues the verbal assault by comparing her Rolls Royce Cullinan to the infamous Death Star from the Star Wars franchise, bragging about only listening to her own music and her “conscience,” and calling herself a killer instead of a victim.
