Yung Miami Shuts Down Rumors Her ‘Mental Breakdown’ Was Over Diddy

Yung Miami has cleared up some rumors surrounding her recent “mental breakdown.”

The City Girls rapper took to Twitter at the end of last month to explain that she was going through something mentally debilitating.

“I’m really having a mental breakdown right now,” she tweeted on July 30. In a follow-up tweet, she added: “Haven’t slept in dayssssss like I’m tired af and don’t feel like doing nothing today my energy is off!”

Fans of Yung Miami immediately assumed the matter was connected to her boyfriend Diddy.

Yung Miami took to Instagram Live on Sunday (August 7) to clear up any misunderstanding behind her mental health issue and to assure everyone that Diddy was not behind it.

“People really make up stories,” she began. “Y’all make up so much shit… This shit I read about me online, yo I had a mental breakdown because of something I was going through in my personal work-life.”

She added: “It had nothing to do with a man. Y’all really think I had a mental breakdown about a man and gonna get on the internet and tweet?”

The 28-year-old also had to put out another social media firestorm clarifying that her feet were not being rubbed by Kevin Gates in a clip that had gone viral where fans alleged she was the woman in the video.

“And them not my fucking toes,” she said with a laugh. “Y’all n-ggas can clearly see those not my fucking toes. That girl is a whole light skin girl and I am a brown-skinned girl. Like, leave me alone. FYI, scroll through my tweets and stop thinking I’m making everything about a man.”

Diddy finally confirmed he was dating Yung Miami in June and the couple still looks to be going strong through the heat of the summer.

The celebrity couple took a vacation to Paris together in July, where the Quality Control signee posted a slideshow on Instagram featuring a romantic photo of her and Diddy holding hands.

Meanwhile, Yung Miami’s City Girls partner JT has launched a new “Good Love” dance challenge which is already starting to take over the internet.

The challenge arrived after a Twitter user claimed the Miami rapper had no dance moves. “What annoys me is that JT got all this body and can’t dance with it,” they wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “It’s giving Bottle Service Girls.”

JT replied: “Lol I let y’all think that.”

She returned a few hours later with the #goodlovechallenge, named after the City Girls’ latest single with Usher. After hitting the new dance moves, she tagged Reginae Carter, Winne Harlow, and fellow City Girl Yung Miami to nominate them for the challenge.
