Nicki Minaj Refuses To Listen To ‘Super Freaky Girl’ Acapella

Nicki Minaj admitted she hasn’t listened to the newly released A capella version of her latest single, “Super Freaky Girl,” and if she had her way, it wouldn’t have seen the light of day.

The leader of the Barbz hopped on Twitter Thursday (August 19) with a link to the vocal only version while admitting to fans she refused to listen to the track. According to Nicki, if she did give it a chance, she wouldn’t have given it the green light.

“I refused to listen to it. I don’t think I’ve ever dropped an a cappella… I knew if I listened I probably wouldn’t approve it,” Nicki tweeted.

It’s interesting to note the song link is no longer working as a “404 Page Not Found” message pops up after clicking it.

Despite how she feels, Nicki is gunning for the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her new single “Super Freaky Girl.” The song has already sold 100,000 units and garnered more than three million streams on Spotify on its first day, the largest solo debut for a female rap song in the platform’s history.

On Thursday (August 18), Nicki Minaj resurrected her alter-ego Roman Zolanski for the remix to “Super Freaky Girl.” The remix is simply an extended version of the original featuring a brand new third verse from Nicki’s fan-favorite persona.

Ass fat to the max like TJ, BJ while he speedin’ on the freeway / Don’t play with Nicki ’cause it could get tricky / And that’s word to Dricki, bitch, it could get sticky,” she raps.

And that’s word to Dwayne Mi–, Michael Carter / I’ma finish these dumb bitches, Michael Myers / Don’t nobody wanna hear that weak shit ho / In the game, fifteen, ain’t peak yet ho.

“Super Freaky Girl” is just the latest single Nicki Minaj has released this year following the Lil Baby-assisted “Do We Have a Problem?” and “Bussin,” in addition to collaborations with Fivio Foreign (“We Go Up”) and Coi Leray (“Blick Blick”).
